A New Running Partner

Yesterday I was able to establish a running route around Lotte Castle (the name of the apartment complex), so this morning I went for my daily run around 6am. As I was starting out, I had a "chance" meeting with Mr. Lee, who, too, was on his daily run. The first part of this running route is up a steep hill, and with all of my training done on flat ground, it didn't take long for Mr. Lee to catch up with me. When he did, I noticed he was carrying several transparencies with various idiomatic expressions written on them, so we began to run together and talk in English. Mr. Lee is a 60 year old retired bank employee who lives in Lotte Castle with his wife and daughter, who teaches math at an institutue in Pusan. After three times around, we agreed to meet again next week to run, practice English and Korean. I never imagined that my new running partner would be a 60 year old Korean man who studies English while running!
